Apartment Block Interior Refurbishment – Fairmile House & Admiral House, Teddington, London

In January 2025, Joseph & Sons Decorators, a professional London decorating contractor, was commissioned to provide a quotation for the complete interior refurbishment of Fairmile House, a riverside apartment building in Teddington, South West London.

The project involved the full redecoration of all five floors, including the communal lobbies, stairwells, landings, and entrance foyers. Our team specialises in apartment block decorating and communal area refurbishment, making this an ideal project for our experienced painters and decorators.

A major element of the refurbishment was the installation of decorative wood panelling across all five landings, covering over 900 square metres in total. In addition, we carried out tiling works to the front entrance lobbies of Admiral House, a neighbouring residential building.

Although this was a large-scale residential decorating project, our team was fully equipped to deliver the work efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Work began at Fairmile House in May 2025 and was completed in September 2025. During the project, the Admiral House residents’ committee saw the quality and progress of our work and asked us to provide a quotation for the interior decoration of their apartment block.

Following acceptance of our proposal, Joseph & Sons commenced work on Admiral House immediately after completing the Fairmile House refurbishment.

Across both buildings, the works covered nine floors of communal area decorating and refurbishment, including:

• Installation of 900+ square metres of decorative wood panelling
• Application of 900 square metres of high-quality wallpaper
• Professional tiling in entrance lobby areas
• General repair and maintenance works
• Over twenty communal doors sanded, varnished, and fitted with new handles and kick plates
• Extensive interior painting and finishing using premium materials
• Four stairwells fully redecorated, including spindles, balustrades, and handrails

The completed refurbishment has transformed the interiors of both buildings, creating clean, modern, and durable communal spaces for residents, while maintaining the character of the properties.
